My area of study includes the analysis of samples of different nature in condensed phase from laser ionization by means of the use of time-of-flight mass spectrometry through the analytical technique named LIMS (Laser Ionization Mass Spectrometry). Moreover, the characterisation of plasmas generated from the ablation of the material by means of optical emission spectroscopy is evaluated through the analytical technique named LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy).
The scopes have both identification and discriminatory purposes and, on the other hand, fundamental studies associated to phenomena of ionization and ablation of the species generated in these processes are carried out.
