Pablo Purohit Pacheco
Postdoctoral Scientist
Graduated in Chemistry from the University of Málaga in 2014, Pablo joined the UMALASERLAB in June 2014 and obtained his MSc degree in Chemistry from the same University in 2015, during which he obtained a collaboration fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports for developing the collaboration project titled ‘Optical and mass spectroscopy of solids with femtosecond laser’. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral scientist. His research topics, mainly focused on the analysis of condensed phases via laser-based techniques, include: studying the optical emission due to molecules contained within laser-induced plasmas with spatio-temporal resolution by means of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) combined with spectroscopic imaging; laser ionization mass spectrometry (LIMS) and differential mobility analysis mass spectrometry (DMA-MS).
He enjoys expending his free time in music-related activities such as playing the guitar, composing and arranging songs and listening to music, mostly to rock and heavy metal.
