Rubén Sánchez Alcántara


PhD student

Ruben Sánchez received his B.Sc. in Physics from the National University of Engineering (Lima – Perú) in 2003. He obtained his MSc degree in Applied Physics from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in 2010 and he is actually a PhD student in Physic from Pontifical Catholic University of Perú in collaboration with the UMALASERLAB laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Javier Laserna.

His research topics, mainly focused on optical instrumentation for spectroscopy. He has realized works of implementation of optical focusing and collection systems, optical alignment and coupling of optical systems to spectrometers and monochromators. His Doctoral work is focused on the study system and portable system for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the Peruvian cultural heritage containing metal alloys.
